“The result is the most beautiful garden we could have wished for, which somehow feels like it’s been there forever. Tom is an artist and his vision and eye for detail has created for us a place full of texture, interest, beauty and tranquillity.”

Sketch proposal for courtyard garden in central Bath. The garden we built ended up slightly altered from this design. The existing garden was simply laid to lawn with narrow borders either side. The new garden now has a beautifully designed square formal water feature, which features a stunning yorkstone rill as its main and most eye-catching characteristic. A central brick path leads you to the water through topiary and a creeping thyme and chamomile lawn. The borders on sides are now larger and more diverse. At the back a secluded brick terrace and oak pergola with reclaimed teak trellis has been designed. Incorporating shady planting and climbing plants will further enhance and contribute to creating a more calming and serene outdoor space.
